Welcome to the Nordscoot website! Below we set out the terms of service that apply to your use of our website and the provision of our services. By using our website or services, you agree to these terms.

By submitting an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions:

  1. Subscribers and payers must be over 18 years of age. Orders from persons under 18 years of age must be made in the name and with the consent of a parent or guardian.

  2. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the personal data provided.

  3. The customer is responsible for all orders placed under his/her user name. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password.

  4. All prices include VAT, unless otherwise stated.

  5. Sending an order is always binding.

  6. The product(s) ordered are the property of the seller until the full purchase price has been paid.

  7. Product prices are valid until further notice. Prices are subject to change without notice.

  8. The customer agrees to receive company newsletters and SMS marketing. The customer’s email address and telephone number will be removed from the marketing list upon request.

  9. Nordscoot reserves the right to:

a) To terminate the customer relationship due to unilateral irregularities, recurring refunds, non-payment and non-cancellation of orders, or repeated cancellations, without justification or notice. 

b) Charge the customer for extra work caused by repeated cancellations/unpaid orders. 

1. General information

1.1 Nordscoot is a retailer of electric vehicles and also offers related services, such as the receipt and processing of orders via the website.

1.2 These Terms apply to all users of the Nordscoot website and subscribers to the Services.

1.3 Nordscoot reserves the right to change these Terms without notice. The changes will take effect immediately when they are published on our website.

2. Ordering

2.1 Placing an order: placing an order via the Nordscoot website requires the customer to register and provide personal data. Subscribers and payers must be over 18 years of age. Orders from persons under 18 years of age must be made in the name and with the consent of a parent or guardian. 

2.2 Order cancellation: the customer has the right to cancel the order before the product has been shipped. After this period, the order can only be cancelled if the product does not correspond to the one ordered or if there is a manufacturing defect.

2.3 Prices: all prices are in euros and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

2.4 Returns: the customer of the Nordscoot e-shop has a 30-day right of exchange and return. The customer has the right to exchange or return some or all of the products ordered. Returned products must be in their original packaging and in good condition for sale. In the case of product returns, the customer is responsible for the delivery costs. If you want to return products, please contact the online shop first and ask for return instructions. Please include your name, contact details and account number with your return for a possible refund. For returns you will need the original packaging, the cost of the new packaging is the responsibility of the customer. 

3. Delivery

3.1 Delivery time: orders are posted on weekdays. The delivery time for products from stock is usually 5-9 working days. Delivery costs are determined by the chosen delivery method, any additional services, the weight and size of the order. You can see the delivery costs in the online checkout before the order is finally accepted. If a product is lost or damaged during delivery, the online store must be notified immediately, but within 14 days. The company responsible for the delivery must be informed immediately of any packages damaged during delivery.

3.2 Delivery method: delivery will be made according to the chosen delivery method. Nordscoot usually uses DHL for deliveries. For larger parcels, DPD is the carrier. 

3.3 Transport damage: the customer must check the condition of the delivery immediately upon receipt. If damage has occurred during transport, the customer should contact the support team without delay. 

4. Contribution

4.1 Payment method: through Visma Pay, you can pay by online banking, wallet, payment card (credit/debit), invoice or instalment. The following payment methods are available: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Local cooperative banks, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, MobilePay, Masterpass, Pivo, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Debit MasterCard cards, as well as Flexo, Alisa Invoice and Alisa Business Invoice.

MobilePay: you can pay with your MobilePay wallet if you have enabled online payments in the app settings. Payments made with a MobilePay wallet will be charged to the payment card linked to the wallet. If the debit from the payment card fails, it is not possible to pay with a MobilePay wallet in the online shop.

Pivo: Terms and conditions are available on the Pivo website: https://pivo.fi/kayttoehdot/pivon-kayttoehdot/ Flexible invoice and instalment facility is a domestic service that allows you to make your purchases quickly and securely.

The flexibility is intended for individuals who have managed their finances properly. Flexibility gives you 30 days interest-free and free of charge. Once you receive the invoice, you can decide whether to pay it in full or in instalments. With instalments, you can pay for your purchases in up to 36 instalments, starting from €9.90/month. The cost of the Flexibility instalment plan is 3,90 EUR/month and the credit interest rate is 19,90%. You can use Jousto to pay for purchases between €30 and €3000. The lender is Aurajoki Nordic Oy. OP Invoice – A flexible way to pay for online purchases. For customers of all banks. With OP Invoice you can make purchases up to 5 000 euros and pay them off interest-free within 45 days. If you wish, you can split the invoice into several instalments. Your purchases are displayed in one place, so it’s easy to keep track of how your money is spent. With a credit limit, you can keep your consumption within the limits you want. Receive your invoices conveniently by email. On our online service, you can see information about your OP Bill usage and the amount of purchases you have made. You can use OP Invoice if you are over 20 years of age and able to pay, and you have the domain names of a Finnish bank. Alisa Invoice is a flexible and secure payment method. The payment method is suitable for all consumers over the age of 20 for all types of purchases. Alisa Business Invoice is a flexible and secure payment method for businesses. The payment method is suitable for all Finnish companies, regardless of their legal form. The buyer’s right to purchase is fully digitally verified and the purchase transaction takes just a few minutes. 4.2 Payment: the online store’s payment provider is Visma Pay (Visma Payments Oy, business ID 2486559-4), which is registered in the register of payment institutions maintained by the Financial Supervisory Authority. Payment is made via the Visma Pay online service and the statement and invoice will show Visma Pay or Visma Payments Oy as the beneficiary of the payment. Visma Pay transfers payments to the online merchant. Payment is secure as all transaction information is transmitted over an encrypted connection so that no third party can see the transaction details.

A transaction is created between an e-commerce customer and an online shop. The online shop is responsible for all obligations related to the transaction.

5. Responsibility

5.1 Warranty: electric scooters have a minimum 12-month commercial warranty. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or defects caused by improper use of the device. For more information on the product guarantee, please see the guarantee conditions page

5.2 Nordscoot shall not be liable for any damage caused by negligent use of the product or failure to follow the instructions in this manual.

5.3 Nordscoot shall not be liable for any delay in delivery if the delay is due to force majeure, such as natural disasters, strikes or orders of public authorities.

5.4 Uncollected delivery: uncollected delivery is not a return under consumer protection law, but is considered a breach of contract on the part of the buyer. In these cases, we will automatically charge you €15.00 postage and handling fee per returned package. The online shop is entitled to claim compensation from the buyer for the costs incurred as a result of the breach of contract. (Consumer Protection Act, Chapter 5, §§ 25 & 28).

5.5 Complaints: if there is a fault with the product, please fill in a complaint form. NOTE. If a product is faulty when new or you have received the wrong product, do not use it and contact Customer Service.

6. Data protection

6.1 Processing of personal data: Nordscoot processes personal data in accordance with data protection legislation. For more information on the processing of personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

6.2 Cookies: Nordscoot uses cookies on its website to improve the user experience and to monitor the use of the website. For more information on how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.

7. Termination of the contract

7.1 Nordscoot has the right to terminate the contract if the customer breaches these terms and conditions.

7.2 The Customer has the right to terminate the Agreement if Nordscoot materially breaches the terms of the Agreement.

8. Applicable legislation

8.1 These Terms are governed by Finnish law.

8.2 The online shop is legally liable for defects in the products sold. In case of complaints, please contact our customer service. The consumer has the right to refer any disputes to the Consumer Disputes Board.
